Eleanor G. Yeager

Eleanor Gayle Yeager, 98 years young, of Sylvania, Ohio passed away Saturday, December 14, 2013. Mrs. Yeager was born August 12, 1915 in Sandusky, Ohio to Albert H. (John) Hughes and Cordula Floretine Fitzgerald. She married Raymond E. Yeager (Jagusch) April 28, 1934 in Bowling Green, Ohio; who preceded her in death July 12, 1966. Eleanor was a charter member of Advent Lutheran Church in Sylvania, Ohio. Eleanor enjoyed life with her family, friends and gardening; also going for walks with her pets looking for mushrooms.

Eleanor is survived by sons, Ronald (Al) Yeager of Toledo, Ohio and Kevin Yeager of Sylvania, Ohio; daughters-in-law; Sharon and Judy; half-brothers, Kenny (Leona) Williams and John (Donna) Williams; half-sisters, Marlene Estrada of Miami, Florida and Lelah (Jim) Steele of Toledo, Ohio; sister-in-law, Wilma Williams; and a very special niece, Alma Werner of Toledo, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents and step-father George Williams; sons, Ernest, John and Roger (Patricia) Yeager; daughter-in-law, Cindy Hackney- Yeager; brother, Albert Hughes; sisters, Laverne MacDonald and Bernice Fall; half –brother, Joseph Williams and step-brothers, Ben, Harry and Charles Williams.

The family will receive guests Sunday, December 22, 2013 from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral services will be held Monday, December 23, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Advent Lutheran Church, 6735 Sylvania Ave, Sylvania, Ohio 43560.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
