Elder L. Wells

Elder Jimmy L. Wells was born April 26, 1941. He moved to eternal glory on January 4, 2023. Jimmy was born in Memphis, Tennessee to parents John Henry and Wisteria Wells. He graduated from Libbey High School and also proudly served in the U.S. Air Force.

Jimmy accepted Christ at an early age. In 1972, he was ordained as a minister. In later years, he served as an Elder at the House of Prayer, where he faithfully served until his health failed.

Jimmy was united in marriage to Mirian Washington on December 31, 1966. From this union one child was born, Kymjamera Wells, who joined sisters, Sylvia, Charolyn and Debra.

Jimmy retired from the City of Toledo Water Reclamation Division. His favorite past times were spent with family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, Church, and talking with others about the Lord.

Jimmy was preceded in death by parents, John Henry and Wisteria Wells; sister, Mildred Cruz; wife, Mirian of 57 years (deceased 10/2022); and grandson, TaGarous Brock. Jimmy leaves to cherish his memory children, Sylvia (Calvin) Lewis; Charolyn Washington; Debra Bowman; Kymjamera Wells; stepdaughter,Tawana (Eric) Williams; brother in law, Billy (Gwen) Atkins; grandchildren, Jomon (Meme); Indya; Kymisha; Dasha (Brandon); Jamera; Tericka; Branden; Eric Jr; Kirkland; 9 great grandchildren; nephews/nieces LaRoi (Laura) Carter; Kevan (Bedez) Carter; Keith (Barbara) Carter; Paula (Tyrone) Lewis; Paul Carter (J Armstrong); Phillip (Linda) Carter; cousins Alma (Pete) Dortch Gilbert; Beverly Dortch; Troy Seymore; Vanessa Seymore and many other relatives and friends.

The family will receive guests Friday, January 13, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at House-Prayer Holiness Church, 1439 Nebraska Ave Toledo, Ohio. Funeral Services will begin Friday at 12:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.

The family would like to thank Kingston Care Center of Sylvania and U.S.Renal Care for the exceptional care. The family would also like to thank Charolyn Washington, for the loving care she provided to Jimmy and Mirian.
