(Peach) Elda Rafey of Swanton, Ohio passed away on December 14, 2021. She was born to the late Frank and RoseMary Avila, April 11, 1974, in Toledo, Ohio.
She graduated from Swanton High School in 1992. She was working at the Koral Hamburg in Swanton where she met her husband and partner for life on August 25, 1992. On August 25, 2007 they officially married at the Koral Hamburg.
Peach worked for Home Depot for 13 years and was instrumental in rebuilding playgrounds for Cordelia Martin Center in South Toledo and many other playgrounds and parks in the surrounding area. After working for Home Depot Peach followed her passion for baking and started a small baking business. Her cakes and cookies were enjoyed by many.
She is survived by her husband John Rafey and their three kid; Luis Rafey, Christoopher Rafey and Alyssa Rafey; and her four brothers Roman Avila, Martin Avila, Umberto (Becky) Avila and Cecilio Avila.
She is preceded in death by her father Frank Avila and her sons Franky Rafey and Joseph Rafey.
A viewing will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday December 31.
