Elbert C. Pitsenbarger

Elbert C. Pitsenbarger, age 81, of Oregon, passed away November 25, 2018 at his home. He was born April 19, 1937 in Rainelle, West Virginia to Dana and Cloie (James) Pitsenbarger. Elbert was employed as an Engineer with CSX Railroad for more than 46 years. He was also a retired Pastor of Neighborhood Free Will Baptist Church. Elbert enjoyed fishing and his bowl of beans and cornbread.

Elbert is survived by his sons, Ken Pitsenbarger and David (Sheryl) Pitsenbarger; grandchildren, Brian (Carey) Taylor, Tina Taylor, Lucas Pitsenbarger and Tyler Pitsenbarger; 4 great-grandchildren; siblings, Barbara (Jack) Lively, Wanda (Garner) Kyle and Jerry Pitsenbarger. In addition to his parents, Elbert was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Pitsenbarger; daughter, Dorothy (Marvin) Taylor and sister, Helen Schultz.

The family will receive guests, Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Neighborhood Free Will Baptist Church, 3409 Seaman Road, Oregon, OH. Memorial Services will begin Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Church. Burial will be at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Elbert's memory.
