Elaine M. Venier

Elaine M. Venier, age 101, of Toledo, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo with loving family by her side. She was born on December 13, 1922 to Frederick and Katherine (Greiner) Dreher in Toledo. Elaine graduated from Scott High School. She enjoyed sewing and was a talented seamstress throughout her life. Elaine liked to gamble, taking casino trips and playing Bingo often. She loved the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Elaine’s smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Venier; daughter-in-law, Sandy Venier; and 5 siblings. Left to cherish Elaine’s memory are her loving children, Don Venier, Jeanne (Rick) Reinbolt, Joan (Conrad) Ausmus, and Sherri (Dan) Burgard; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; and many nieces, and nephews.

The family will receive guests on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the Most Blessed Sacrament Parish, 2240 Castlewood Dr., Toledo, OH 43613 with Funeral Mass beginning at 11:00 a.m. in church. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
