Elaine F. Snyder

Elaine F. Snyder, age 78, of Toledo, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Heartland of Waterville. She was born on November 13, 1934 to Fred and Blanche (Jasinski) Berdyck in Cleveland, Ohio. Elaine was employed with Ohio Bell in advertising and public relations for 30 years before retiring. She was the past president and member of the Woman's Ad Club and the International Altrusan Club, both in Cleveland. Elaine also volunteered at Hillcrest Hospital, Cleveland and the Sylvania Senior Center. She was a longtime member of Little Flower Church and a part of the Ladies Alter Rosary Society. Elaine was an avid reader, enjoyed puzzles and crosswords and had a flare for decorating. She loved nothing more than the time spent with her daughter and grandsons. Elaine will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Cheryl Marie Snyder. Elaine is survived by her loving daughter, Linda (Jeff) Kahn; grandsons, Bradley, Jason and Mitchell; and many other family members and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday from 10 – 11:00 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the Alzheimer's Association.

The family would like to give a special thank you to all of the staff and caregivers at Heartland of Waterville for all of their loving care and support given to Elaine and her family through this difficult time.
