Edwin John Rardin, age 67, of Holland, passed away with his loving family by his side in the comfort of his home on Sunday, December 22, 2019. He was born on April 30, 1952 to Franklin I. Sr. and Lillian J. (Lavalette) Rardin in Toledo, Ohio. John was a graduate of Roger High School, Class of 1971. For most of John's life he was a local CDL Truck Driver, working for various trucking companies, most recently Keller Trucking Company. John was an avid outdoorsman, hunter and fisherman. One of his favorite places to be was in the woods with his kids. He was a member of the NRA. In his younger years he enjoyed Harley-Davidson motorcycles. John was a simple man with a kind heart and he would do anything to help others. He will be missed by his wife, Carol; children, Amanda and Johnny; grandchildren, Gwen, Macie and Madison - expected on February 1, 2020 and brother, Frank, Jr.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Carol (Denker) Rardin; children, Amanda (Matt) Williams and Johnathan (Bethany) Rardin; grandchildren, Gwen, Macie and Madison - expected in February; brother, Frank, Jr. (Carma) Rardin; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin, Sr. and Lillian Rardin.
At John's request there will be no formal services. A date will be announced later for his Celebration of Life.
Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in John's memory.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, January 24, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at The Lodge at Strawberry Acres in Holland, Ohio.
