Edward 'Ed' M. Tasnadi
Edward 'Ed' M. Tasnadi, age 85, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2009 at Lake Park Care Center. On August 13, 1924 he was born to John and Vera (Loschick) Tasnadi in Gibsonburg, Ohio.
Survivors include his son, John (Heidi) Tasnadi of Ottawa Hills; granddaughter, Megan Tasnadi of Ottawa Hills; sister, Evelyn (Walter) Kelb of Samaria, Michigan; nephew, Julius Rensch of Toledo; niece, Kathy Ware of Hilton Head, South Carolina; and niece Ellie Jo Creger of Fort Collins, Colorado.
Preceding Edward in death is, his loving wife of 53 years, Dorothy Tasnadi, parents John and Vera Tasnadi, two sisters, Helen Buck and Eleanor Creger; & brother John Tasnadi.
Ed proudly served his country as a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II. He will be remembered as an excellent husband, father, mentor, and friend. Ed was an excellent mechanic and avid auto enthusiast.
The family will receive guests Wednesday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) with Prayer Service at 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will begin Thursday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Fr. William Kubacki. Entombment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Northwest Ohio Chapter.
