Edward Schoenhofer

Edward W. Schoenhofer, age 87, of Toledo, was born on July 2, 1928 to Francis and Mary Schoenhofer. He passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Spring Meadows Senior Community, surrounded by special nieces Ann and Donna. Ed served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1950-1952. He retired from AP Parts in 1987. Ed found much pleasure in artistic sketching, and was also an avid Notre Dame Football fan.

He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Mae, his sister Mary Sedlar, and brothers Frank, Albert, Joseph, William, Carl, Paul, John, Bobby, and James. He is survived by brother, Richard (Dolores), and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Chapel , 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., (419)381-1900 on Monday November 2 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm. A Scripture Service will be held on Monday evening at 6:00 pm. Funeral Mass will take place at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Catholic Church on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Cherry Street Mission or a charity of donor's choice in Ed's name.
