Edward Vernon Reynolds of Wauseon, Ohio passed away peaceful on Sunday, June 27, 2021. Born on February 10,1948 to Chester and Juanita Reynolds in Gatliff, KY.
Edward attended high school at Macumber and completed an apprenticeship. He would continue on with his education and earned his Journeyman machine repair while working at Acklin stamping plant. He retired after several years from Acklin Stamping to open his own Rock and Gem Shop; E&R Rocks.
Edward is father to five children: Jimmy Reynolds (Tina), Jennifer Sapp(Doug), Matthew, Tiffanie(Aaron), and Robert (Steffany), and stepfather to two children: DJ Rose(Kim) and Jodie Pitzen(Blake). He is the grandfather to 16 grandchildren, Chase (Danyelle), Kirby Reynolds, Latham Bauer, Sonny, Gabriel, Nyssa, Corynn Meyer, Asher Atkisson, Abigail Reynolds, and Neveah, Justice, Aburie, Dakota Rose, Mason, Kolby, and Lowen Pitzen.
He is survived by his brother, Sonnie Reynolds(Tina), Sister, Aundria Otersen (Denny), his Uncle Emery(Margaret) and his significant other and caregiver Ruby. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Diane. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
During his lifetime, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, mining in New Mexico, rock hunting and more recently bee keeping. He won many trophies for skeet shooting, trapping and even the best honey award. Ed was a long time member of the Toledo Rock and Gem Club, where he used his vast knowledge of gems and minerals to teach and inspire others with nature's beauty.
Services will be on July 3, 2021, at Newcomer Funeral Home at 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd with the showing at 11am to 1pm. Funeral at 1pm with interment to follow at Lake Township Cemetery 3550 Walbridge Rd, Millbury Ohio. We will be having a reception at Redemption Church 8605 Salisbury Rd Monclova, OH, immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to CHP Home Care & Hospice of Archbold, Ohio.
