Edward J. "DeDe" Minkowski, Jr.
Edward J. "DeDe" Minkowski, Jr. age 55 of Toledo passed away Monday, February 2, 2004 in his home. He was born March 20, 1948 to Edward and Betty (Jewell) Minkowski, Sr. in Toledo. Ed was a U.S. Marine Veteran serving in Vietnam. Most recently he was employed with Norplas Industries. Prior to that Ed was employed with the Toledo Hospital and Daimler Chrysler for several years. Ed enjoyed fishing, weightlifting and riding motorcycles.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Minkowski. Ed is survived by his fiancé, Denise A. Karcsak; children, Laura (Brad) Walker; Edward Minkowski III; Kimberly (Frank) Netry and Timothy Minkowski; mother, Betty Minkowski; brother, Richard (Janet) Minkowski; grandchildren, Bradley; Nick; Sandra; Brittany; Justin; Carys; Kailey; Majestic and canine companion, "Queenie".
The family will receive guests Thursday from 3-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park. Memorial Contributions are asked to be made to the family.
