Edward Jay Bunch, age 58, passed away peacefully in his home on January 15, 2016. He was born on January 3, 1958 to the late Estalene Ross and Edward E. Bunch.
Ed was an avid deer hunter and loved fishing. He was a huge Ohio State, Browns and Yankees fan. Ed was a pool player for many years through the APA Pool League. He coached baseball and was an umpire for the Toledo Police Little League. Ed regularly attended and was a greeter at CedarCreek Church-South Toledo Campus. Ed enjoyed baking, especially his Christmas cookies. Ed loved spending time with his family and looked forward to cookouts and holidays.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 22 years, Linda; children, Autumn (Ivan) Valencia and Kiara Corum; step-children, Robert (Tammie) Boyd, Curtis Boyd and Kristen Moreno; siblings, Sue Crane, Richard Peace, Walter Bunch and Mary Powers; 12 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Ed was preceded in death by his parents; son, Joshua E. Bunch; siblings, Ronnie Peace, Roger Peace, Donna Abbott and Kathy Crane.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 from 3-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be immediately following at Forest Cemetery.
