Edward D. "Ed" Falardeau, age 64, of Sylvania, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Ebeid Hospice Residence. He was born on August 13, 1956 to Victor and Claire Falardeau in Chicago, Illinois. Ed graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Business from Western Illinois. He worked in sales out of Detroit for many years before retiring. Ed was an avid sports fan, especially of the Chicago Bears and The Ohio State Buckeyes. He enjoyed playing cards with family and friends. Ed had a remarkable memory and a great sense of humor. He always saw the positive in everything. Ed's smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Vicki Arakelian. Left to cherish Ed's memory are his sons, Thomas (Alexandra) and Jordan (Taylor Nelson) Falardeau; grandchildren, Gabriel and Elena; brothers, Daniel (Joyce) and Michael Falardeau; cousin, Mary Ellen (Francis) McSherry; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 from 2 – 5:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – West Sylvania Chapel, 3655 King Rd., Toledo, OH 43617 (419-392-9500) with Memorial Services beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home. (For the safety of the Falardeau family and their guests, masks are required with social distancing).
Those wishing to make memorial contributions in honor of Ed are asked to consider the National Ataxia Foundation or the National Organization for Rare Disorders.
The family would like to give a special thank you to all of the staff and caregivers at Kingston Care Center of Sylvania for all of their love, care, friendship and support given to Ed during his time at Kingston.
