Edna P. Steinke

Edna P. Steinke, age 95, of Toledo, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013 at Ebeid Hospice. She was born July 25, 1918 in Tennessee to James and Molly (Garrison) Phillips. Edna was employed by Pinkerton Tobacco for 30 years. She was also a lifelong member of Echo Meadows Church of Christ.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving daughter, Carolyn (John) Amstutz; grandchildren, Jeff, Joel and Jill (Dave) Gierke; great grandchildren, Lisa, Olivia and Max; sisters, Thelma Vandiver, Sue Brazier and Blanche Keener. In addition to her parents, Edna was preceded in death by her husbands, Ellis Craton and Carl Steinke; infant son, Leon and siblings, Clatis, Cleo, J.E. and Rassie.

The family will receive guests Wednesday, July 31, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Ebeid Hospice or Echo Meadows Church of Christ.
