Edna (Murphy)
Edna (Murphy) Kapp, age 79, of Toledo, left this world to be with the Lord on April 24, 2009. She was born January 28, 1930 to Bertha White and Dowell Stevens in Knoxville, Tennessee. Edna was a lifetime member of Harvest Tabernacle Church of God. She was an avid and wonderful cook. Edna enjoyed spending time with her family and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Murphy, daughter, Linda Riley, great-grandson, Antonio Garcia and brothers, Arnold Stevens and Fred Chapman. Edna is survived by her husband of 22 years, Donald Kapp, of Toledo; sister, Mary Ruth Schultz, of Knoxville, TN; brothers, Jimmy Stevens, of Knoxville, TN and Glen Stevens, of Detroit, MI; children, Donald (Krys) Murphy, Judy Kukla, Seena (Becky) Murphy, all of Toledo; step-son, Frank (Jessica) Kapp, of Perrysburg; step-daughter, Gloria Wallington, of Delta; 16 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive guests on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Harvest Tabernacle Church of God, 430 E. Florence Ave., Toledo, OH 43605. Funeral Services will begin Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. in the church. Officiating will be Pastor Garrett Fitzpatrick. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. The Newcomer Funeral Home (419-473-0300) assisted the family with professional services.
