Edna Converse

Edna Eliza Converse, age 96, formerly of Swanton and Bowling Green Ohio, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2006 in Heartland at Perrysburg. She was born May 5, 1910 to Charles and Emma (Stipe) Snyder in West Unity, Ohio. Edna was a 1928 graduate of West Unity High School and went on to work with the former Perfection Finishing for 10 years. She and her late husband, Harry Converse married February 10, 1937 and celebrated 62 years of marriage before his death in 1999. Edna was a member of the United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and reading. Edna will be remembered by her family as a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother always putting others needs before her own.

In addition to her parents and husband, Edna was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Linda Crow. She is survived by her family including her daughter, Janet Crow; grandchildren, Vickie Polan; Cathy Impton; Sharon Gargac Timothy Crow and Matthew Crow; 10 great grandchildren and lifelong friend, Carolyn Goldsmith.

The family will receive guests Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Graveside Services will begin Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Floral Grove Cemetery, Pioneer, OH.
