Edna C. Parr

Edna C. Parr, age 81, of Toledo, passed away Wednesday, August 17th, 2011 at Waterford Commons, Toledo. She was born August 23rd, 1929 to Karl and Margaret (Deal) Waite in Toledo. Edna loved children and spent many years providing childcare for many families in the Toledo area. She was a member of Hope Methodist Church and Mayores Senior Center. Edna enjoyed crocheting, puzzles and playing cards with her friends. Most importantly, Edna cherished the time she was able to spend with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Marcia Haney and Mary Jane Haberland. Edna is survived by her dear husband of almost 38 years, Edward Parr; daughter, Lenora "Peggy" (Jeff) Koder; grandchildren, Danya Saionzkowski and Christy Koder; great grandchildren, Samantha Orcutt, Christopher Orcutt and Jeffery Stuck and sisters, Madora "Maddie" Powless and Mildred Streib.

The family will receive guests Sunday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (410-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
