Edith F. (Boswell) Clark, age 80, of Toledo, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2008 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. She was born November 29, 1927 to John Thomas and Sarah Frances (Sellers) Boswell in Searles, Alabama. Edith was employed at several nursing homes as a nurse's aide for many years and retired from Sylvania Schools in 1989 after many years of service. She was a member of the Church of God, Inc. on Ketcham St. Edith loved Bluegrass Gospel music and tending her gardens which she took great pride in. Most importantly Edith was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and she cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Edith was preceded in death by her loving husband, Farrell Clark, Sr.; grandchildren, Lee; great grandson, Charlie and great-great granddaughter, Alecia Lynn. She is survived by her loving children, Farell M. (Loretta) Clark, Jr. of Curtis, OH.; Judy Fall; Kaye (Dennis) Burghardt; Charlotte Frost; Polly (Don) Burghardt of Delta, OH.; Diane (Richard) Page; Marvin (Cecilia) Clark of Erie, MI. and Dennis Clark; 47 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren and 11great-great grandchildren; brother, Samuel (Billie Ruth) Boswell of AL and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
The family will receive guests Wednesday from 1-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor John Brown. Interment will follow in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
