Edith "Polly" Burghardt, age 63, a longtime resident of Delta, Ohio, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2022, at Ebeid Hospice Residence, Sylvania. She was born August 7, 1959, in Toledo to the late Farrell and Edith (Boswell) Clark. Polly met the love of her life, Donald Burghardt at an early age. After a one-year courtship they married and started their family.
Polly was a loving wife, mother, "Nini" and sister, cherishing the time spent with family and friends. She had endless energy and was always on the go, especially when it came to family camping trips. Polly always made sure everyone had an enjoyable time. In addition to loving her husband, kids and grandkids, she was also known to spoil her furry companions, Spike and Cujo quite a bit.
Polly devoted her life to helping others, often putting their needs before her own. But Polly wouldn't have it any other way, she followed her heart and showed compassion and grace to those in need.
In addition to her parents, Polly was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jasmine Hanf and daughter-in-law, Laurie Burghardt. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Donald Burghardt; children, Jeremy (Tiffany), Cheryl (Garth), Kaylee (Gage), Lauren (Jonathan) and Devin (Dakota). She was Nini to grandchildren, Heaven (Zach), J.J. (Leah), Lucinda, Drake, Harley, Felicity (Michael), Savannah and Serenity and great grandson, Archie; sister to, Macon (Loretta) Clark, Judy Fall, Kay (Denny) Burghardt, Charlotte Clark, Diane (Shawn) Page, Marvin, and Dennis Clark.
