Earnest Sobieniak

Earnest S. "Ernie" Sobieniak, age 62 of Toledo, passed away unexpectedly at Regency Hospital on Friday, June 8, 2012. He was born to Bennie and Evelyn (Sylvester) Sobieniak in Toledo on April 10, 1950. Ernie worked as a CDL truck driver for over 40 years; he worked for various trucking companies in Toledo including, Sylvester Trucking Co. At one time Ernie owned his own truck and drove cross country for over-the-road trucking work. He enjoyed spending time with his son at the lake; cooking Italian food, especially making the traditional Easter bread for his family and watching his favorite television shows when he could.

He is survived by his son, Benjamin Sobieniak; brother, Michael (Jane Ochoa) Sobieniak; nieces and nephews, Lori, Mike, Jr., Chris, Mark, Taylor, Tiffany and Madeline; cousins, Punky, Tony, Mary Irene and Ann Rose. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph.

The family will receive guests Wednesday from 2-7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
