Earl E. Brannon, Sr., age 90, of Temperance, passed away Monday, November 24, 2014 at The Toledo Hospital. He was born on June 15, 1924 to William and Myrtle Brannon in Christy, Oklahoma. Earl was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving his country during the WWII. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Joseph Diehn Post #468, Sylvania. Earl worked as a carpenter/engineer for Sholz Homes.
Earl is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Mavis Brannon; sons, Earl, Jr. and Phillip (Mary) Brannon; beloved dog, Bailey; granddaughters, Sherrie and Caylynn; grandsons, Earl, III and Mark (Nicole); step-grandson, Paul; great-grandchildren, Colleen, Jessica, Faith and Arthur; great-great-granddaughter, Lilly Mae.
The family will receive guests on Monday from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
