E. Lewis Beebe, age 86, of Oregon, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at St. Charles Mercy Hospital. He was born on April 13, 1919 to Truman and Maude (Sinclair) Beebe in Accoville, West Virginia. Lewis was a banker with the Toledo Trust Co. for over 40 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII. Through the bank, he was involved with the bowling league, Junior Achievement, and an avid golfer in the bank's league.
In addition to his parents, Lewis was preceded in death by his brothers, Ronald, Dwight and Richard Beebe, sister-in-law, Janie Beebe and his brother-in-law, Clayton Kennedy.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Mildred; daughter: Pamela (Thomas) Blair; son: John (Sue) Beebe; grandchildren: Jennifer (Mark) Haar, Krista (Bill) Marquis, Brooke (Tori) Harris; great grandchildren: Meghan and Matthew Haar, Rachel, William and Joshua Marquis, and Gillian and Morgan Harris; sister: Doris Kennedy; sister-in-law: Christine Beebe; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive guests Friday, March 17, 2006 at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) from 4 – 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will take place Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park. Officating will be Jerry S. Craig.
