Duane E. Schoonover

Duane Schoonover age 81 of Oregon, Ohio passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. He was born on April 28, 1943 in Yale, Oklahoma to Marvin and Mable Schoonover. Duane “Shoes” worked for CSX Railroad for 40 years before retiring. He spent much time going to car shows and riding his motorcycle.

Surviving is his sister, Carolyn; brother, Dwight; nephews; nephews, Gary Rowe, Brian Schoonover and Shaun Schoonover; nieces, Shelley Talir and Sherry Baumgartner; 4 great-nephews and 3 great-nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Schoonover and mother, Mable (DeLancy). The family would like to thank Hospice and special friends, Kelley and Tom Fowler for all their help in Duane’s last days. Services for Duane will be private.
