Duane Barry Rubertiello, age 78, of Toledo, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2021 at Foundation Park Alzheimer Care Center. He was born February 4, 1943 in Danbury, Connecticut to Alfred and Rita (Voick) Rubertiello.
Duane worked in the textile industry for many years before retiring. He always loved working with his hands so he would spend many days building and creating things. Duane was also an avid bowler frequenting Gouvernuer Lanes in Upstate NY being a part of several leagues over the years. He was known for his unending support of his favorite New England Patriots, watching them every weekend they played.
Duane will be remembered as a loving and devoted father, grandfather and brother. He was the oldest of six so he enjoyed growing up in a big family. When he became a grandfather, spending time with his grandkids quickly became his favorite thing to do.
In addition to his parents, Duane was also preceded in death by his uncle and longtime friend, Kenny. He is survived by his children, Darrin, Dawn and Darrel Rubertiello and Annie (Ryan) Davis; siblings, Dwight, Linda, Mel, Amber and Paula. Also left to cherish his memory are his loving grandchildren.
The family will receive guests Friday, April 2, 2021 from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, NW Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) with services beginning at 1:00 p.m. A graveside service will follow Saturday, April 3, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Cemetery.
