Duane A. Davis

Duane A. Davis, age 63, of Holland, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 2, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was born on October 16, 1950 to Loyal and Opal (Brown) Davis in Toledo. Duane retired from LaFarge Corp. after 41 years of dedicated service. In his spare time he enjoyed traveling, visiting haunted houses, going to the Great Smoky Mountains and Red Boiling Springs, TN to visit family and research family history. Most memorable trip was when the entire family spent a week at the Outer Banks, NC. He was a member of Elks Lodge #53. Most important to Duane was his family and his precious grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Mark Davis, Sandy (Brian) Piezer, Chris (Dave) Menard and Bryan (Sarah) Davis; grandchildren, Justin (Maureen), Jerrilyn, Brittany (Joe), Melissa, Logan, Lauren, Kayla, Teagan, Alexa, Samantha and Ava; great-grandson, Brycen; former spouse and still friend, Donna; sister, Ginny Mischka; brother, Dick Davis; many nephews and nieces.

The family will receive guests on Sunday, June 8, 2014 from 2-5:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Memorial Services will begin in the funeral home at 5:00 p.m.
