Douglas R. Shuff, age 51, a longtime resident of Toledo, passed away of an apparent heart attack, Thursday, January 20th, 2011 at his home. He was born November 11, 1959 to Richard and Frances (Puccetti) Shuff in Toledo.
Doug received his training as a Journeyman Tool & Die maker and was employed with Ort Tool & Die for over ten years. He enjoyed snowmobiling, motorcycles and Nascar, traveling and camping at Myrtle Beach and the Local KOA's. Most importantly Doug was a devoted husband, father, grandpa, son, brother and friend and he cherished the time he was able to spend with his family, especially his grandchildren. Doug was also very generous with his time and was known as the "Handi- Fix-it" man.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Sandra (Waldfogel) Shuff; son, Brent (Jennifer); grandchildren, Madissen and McKenna; parents, Richard and Frances Shuff; sisters, Debbie (Michael) Rork and Sandra M. Shuff; nieces and nephews, Corey, Stacie, Brittany and Michael, Jr.; sister-in-law, Susan K. (Walter) Wilburn and several aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
The family will receive guests Monday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
