Douglas G. "Doug" Clouse, age 60, of Toledo, passed away peacefully, Sunday, October 30, 2011 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. He was born on October 19, 1951 to Floyd and Mary "Maggie" (Taylor) Clouse in Toledo. Doug was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was employed with Jackson Landscaping and Nursery, Inc. for over 35 years. Doug loved being outdoors and working in the yard. His legacy is the many plants and trees he placed in many of his family and friends yards. Doug will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father. Doug is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Ruth Clouse; daughter, Cathy DeSelms; grandchildren, Charles Tull, Jr. and Cara (David) Burbey; great-grandchildren, Richard Burbey, Jr. and Aric Burbey; mother, Maggie Clouse; brothers, Don (Vicki) Clouse and Randy Clouse; sisters, Joyce (Roger) Bitikofer, Judy (Jerry) Cain, Mary Jo Clouse, Jeniece (David) Corwin and Jerri Knapp; best friends, Julian Flores and Rocky Rios; beloved dog, Chloe; and 13 nieces and nephews; and 9 great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive guests on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 4:00 p.m.
