Dorthy Rager

Dorthy Rager, 100, of Toledo, passed away August 3, 2016. Dorthy was the daughter of Chauncey and Vearl Maurer. She loved to bake, do jigsaw puzzles, spend time with her grandchildren and family, and her weekly visits from Vicky Rager and her good friend Edith Wagner. Dorthy was so thrilled to celebrate her 100th birthday with everyone.

Dorthy is survived by her daughter, Lucinda (Robert) Nash; grandsons, David (Amy) Nicholson, Jeffrey (Kristina) Nicholson, Jason (Courtney) Rager and Jamie (Sharon) Rager; and 8 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband's Dr. Arthur Ward and Eugene Rager; and brother, Dallas Maurer.

Dorthy's family feels blessed with loving care received by ProMedica Hospice especially nurse Terri and staff of Spring Meadows Senior Community.

A Celebration of her Life will be held privately. The Newcomer Funeral Home – NW Chapel (419-473-0300) assisted the family with professional services.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Dorthy's name be made to ProMedica Hospice.
