Dorothy Matuszak

Dorothy F. Matuszak, age 90, passed away Monday, March 22, 2010 at The Toledo Hospital. On February 5th, 1920 she was born to Edgar and Ketha (Sprague) Carl in Toledo, Ohio. Dorothy was a member of VFW Post #606 and #2898 and she was an avid bowler. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Survivors include her three sons, Thomas of Toledo, Kenneth (Marsha Serio) of Bowling Green, Richard of Toledo; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; niece, Sandra Buchanan of Riverside, California; many nieces and nephews and long-time family friend, Pat (Jim) VanOrden. Preceding her in death is her husband, Chester H. Matuszak and sister, Shirley Porter.

The family will receive guests Thursday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). There will be a Sharing of Memories Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
