Dorothy Lukowski
Dorothy Lukowski, age 87, of Sylvania Ohio passed away Friday, August 8, 2008 at Flower Hospital. She was born February 11, 1921 in Toledo. Dorothy was a Lieutenant Commander with the U.S. Navy, serving her country proudly for 20 years as a nurse. She was an avid reader and enjoyed tennis and golf.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her brothers, Mel; Eugene and Florian Lukowski. She is survived by her nephews, Malcom (Betty) and Raymond Lukowski; niece, Sissy (Gordon) Lukowski and dearest friends, Johanna and Vincent Thompson and family.
The family will receive guests Sunday from 4-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Monday at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4100 Harvest Lane. Officiating will be Fr. Dominic Savyo. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
