Dorothy H. "Dot" Jaworski, age 88, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Ebeid Hospice Residence with loving family by her side. She was born on September 14, 1928 in West Virginia to Carl and Lunda Crayton. Dot waitressed at the Holiday Inn Toledo and then Elder Beerman for many years before retiring. She was an excellent cake decorator. Dot loved to crochet afghans for friends and family, which they will have for years to come. She loved spending time with her family, especially all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dot will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Dot is survived by her loving children, Larry (Deborah) Jaworski, Karen Wright and Bonnie Bell; grandchildren, Jayme (David) Weiden, Adam (Michelle) Jaworski, Kim (Ken) Decker, Jason (Kathy) Jaworski, Matthew (Heather) Jaworski, Jennifer (Brenden) Johnson and Arthur Bell; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Paige, Kylie, Brenna, Kyrsten, Becca, Kelsey, Izabel, Landry, Landon, Leeland and Cynthia; great-great-grandson, Kameron; and many extended family and dear friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Henry; son, Terry Jaworski; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Jaworski; granddaughter, Kristen Jaworski; great-grandson, T.J. Merritt; great-granddaughter, Stacy Merritt; great-great-grandbaby Merritt; brother-in-law, Arthur Jaworski; and sister-in-law, Bernice Jaworski.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Hope Johnson for all of the special love, care and support you gave to Dot and her family.
The family will receive guests on Monday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with a Sharing of Memories at 7:00 p.m. lead by Pastor Jeanne Davis. Funeral Services will begin Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Deacon Tony Pistilli.
