Dorothy L. Estenfelder, age 92, of Toledo passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at The Laurels. She was born on September 10, 1920 to John M. and Lena P. (Bradfield) Stout in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Dorothy was very involved and dedicated to the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Rebekah Lodge # 837, where she held various offices throughout the years. Dorothy also volunteered at Channel 30, where she helped accept donations and answered phones for numerous years. She enjoyed bowling and had bowled in various leagues in Toledo, earning her the nickname from her fellow bowlers, "Dotti." One wish she had for many years that was fulfilled had been to attend a baseball game, which her family granted her a few summers back and they will forever hold onto those memories.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Gloria Sterling and son, Larry Glander. Left to cherish her memory is her grandchildren, Lori (Fred) Yarger, Summer Leppert, Brian (Deborah) Dunn, Dale Dunn, Kelly (Marvin) Parke and Vera (Joel) Wiskochil; many loving great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and niece, Bonnie Christianson.
The family will receive guests on Sunday, February 17, 2013 from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 18, 2013. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
