Dorothy C. Martin, age 92, of Toledo, passed away March 27, 2016 at Arbors at Sylvania. Dorothy was born April 23, 1923 in Moorehouse, MO to Doc and Ruby (Rainwater) Hackney. Dorothy was a member of the Senior dance club at Eleanore Kahle and the American Legion on Laskey Road in Toledo.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Lawrence Martin, brothers, Sam and Huey Hackney. She is survived by her sons, Dale A Martin, Sr.and Lawrence E.(Dian) Martin, Jr., daughters, Barbara (Dale) Emerick and Elizabeth A.(Duane) Perry, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her sister, Lois (Alfred)York.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 from 2:00 - 8:00p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will be on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 12:00 noon at the funeral home with Pastor Bill W. Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
