Doris M. Wolff, age 87 of Toledo, passed away on Monday morning, July 30, 2012 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo where she was surrounded by her family. She was born on April 15, 1925 to Elmer and Rose (Lenhart) Serin in Toledo. Doris graduated from Libbey High School, Class of 1943. Following high school she worked at Libbey Glass during WWII. Doris attended services at Little Flower of Jesus for nearly 60 years. In her spare time she enjoyed going to the drive-in movie theatre. Most important to her was caring for her family; she often put their needs before her own. Her family will remember her as a loving and supportive wife, mother and grandmother and she will be dearly missed.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 69 years, John R. Wolff; children, John R. (Lynette) Wolff, Jr., Donald L. Wolff, Thomas C. (Debbie) Wolff, James E. (Gracie) Wolff, Patricia L. (Robert) Lute and William M. Wolff; 17 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandsons; nieces, Barbara Bagnato and Mary Ann Oess and nephew, Charles Serin. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Bonnie Jean Wolff; daughter-in-law, Catherine Wolff; sister, Mildred Hawkins and brother, Walter Serin.
The family will receive guests Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) with a Scripture Service starting at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. The family will receive guests on Thursday from 10-11:30 a.m. in the funeral home with funeral services starting at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) followed by a Funeral Mass at Little Flower of Jesus, 5522 Dorr St. at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
