Doris Eileen Kauffman

Doris E. Kauffman, age 94, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Arbors of Sylvania. She was born on November 5, 1926 to John and Ethel (Hook) Sosbe in Toledo. Doris worked at Rite-Aide for 5 years but mainly was a homemaker. She enjoyed raising her children and taking care of her family. Doris loved spending time with her family especially all of her grandchildren. Her smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin P. Kauffman, I; and several brothers and sisters. Left to cherish Doris' memory are her loving son, Edwin P. Kauffman, II; daughter, Carol (Dave) Korzeniewski; 2 grand-daughters; 2 great-granddaughters; 1 great-grandson; 1 grandson-in-law; sister, Reba Rose; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive guests on Thursday, August 19, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo, (419-473-0300) with Graveside Services to follow at Toledo Memorial Park.

Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Shriner's Children's Hospital.
