Doris J. Underwood, age 84, of Sylvania, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2015 at her home. She was born on July 2, 1931 to Aaron and Clara Langley in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was married for 54 years to James Underwood, Jr. and he preceded her in passing in 2005. Doris retired from the banking industry after 25 years of service, having worked for Sylvania Savings.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Darrell (Alison) Underwood and daughter, Robin Yeager; grandchildren, Heather (Scott) Turner, Brenda (Larry) Ray, James (Angie) Yeager, Tim Underwood and Eric Underwood; 15 precious great-grandchildren and brothers, Ed (Renee) Langley and Jack (Ona) Langley. She was preceded in death by her sister, Linda.
The family will receive guests on Sunday, September 13, 2015 from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Graveside Services will be private.
