Doris E. Haydel

Doris Haydel, age 87, of Toledo, passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at Foundation Park. She was born on January 29, 1931 in Dundee, Michigan to Irene Cook and was raised by Irene and John Rick. She graduated from Lake High School. Doris worked at White Tower on Sylvania Ave. and other locations as a waitress for over 30 years. In her spare time she liked working in the garden, pie making and baking, enjoying the outdoors and most important to her, above everything was spending time with her grandchildren. Her family will remember her as a good woman who always put her families needs before her own.

Left to cherish her memory is her son in law, John Bigelow; grandsons, Matthew (Jillian) Bigelow and Brian (Elizabeth) Bigelow; great-grandchildren, Emmersen, Beckett, Amelia and Connor; brothers, Gary (Jerry) Rick and Stan Rick; her late husband, Merlin "Red" Haydel and his family that she adored, Dale Haydel, Gary Haydel and Darryl (Betty) Pratt, their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her mother, father and step-father, she was preceded in death by her son, Terry Stanford; daughter, Marsha Bigelow; canine companion, Harry; husbands, Donald Stanford; William Clark and Merlin "Red" Haydel and brother, Jack; sisters, Joan and Carol.
