Doris C. Geiser

Doris C. Geiser, age 83, of Sylvania, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at home. She was born on June 14, 1932 to William and Lenora (Baldwin) Murray, III in Toledo. Doris retired from Kroger Company after nearly 40 years of dedicated service. She was a longtime member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 2898 and the Red Hot Pedal Pushers. Doris loved nothing more than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Doris is survived by her daughter, Leigh (Steven) Middaugh-Polodna; sons, Thad, Jr., Walter (Laura) and Roger Geiser; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Bill Middaugh and Thad Geiser, Sr; daughter, Leigh Ann Middaugh; grandson, Ian Polodna; brothers, Jem and Bill Murray; and sister, Helen Vekas.

The family will receive guests on Sunday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo, (419-473-0300) with Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 2898 Services at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Funeral Services will begin Monday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens.
