Doris Jean Battle

Doris Jean (Murria) Battle,born in Toledo, Ohio, to the union of Luther and Ethel Murria on February 3, 1942, passed peacefully in the presence of love ones on January 2, 2017. Doris was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio, where she graduated from Libbey High School continuing her education at Bowling Green State University and the University of Toledo. She retired after 30 years from the GM Powertrain Toledo Transmission Operations.

Doris was preceded in death by both parents, Luther and Ethel; grandmothers, Mary Robinson and Fronia Stewart, special aunt, Cleo Green; husband, Robert Riley; as well as many other relatives. She leaves behind to treasure her memory children, Robin, Keith (Melinda), Kenneth, Deborah Riley and Nicole (Dwayne) Brock; grandchildren, Corey, Meagan, Jessica, Michael, Joey, Kenneth Jr., Jeremiah, Leah, Ethan and Monica; great - grandchildren, Reilly and Reese.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 7, at 9:00 am and Service at 10:00 am: Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo, Ohio 43614 .
