Dorian Thome

Dorian Thome, age 60, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 28, 2023 at the Manor at Perrysburg with loving family by her side. She was born on January 27, 1963 to Kenmore and Rita (Bunck) Hersch. Dorian graduated in 1981 from Rossford High School and obtained her Bachelor's Degree in accounting from the University of Toledo. She worked as an accountant throughout her career at various establishments excelling in everything she did. Dorian also worked for 37 years at UPS in the evenings.

Dorian enjoyed shopping, gardening, traveling and scuba diving. She liked animals, especially dogs and cats. Dorian was very artistic and had a heart of gold. She was caring and would help anyone in need. Her smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Brian Hersch. Left to cherish Dorian's memory are her loving husband of 23 years, Ron Thome; in-laws, Bill (Joyce) Thome; siblings, Christopher Hersch, Timothy (Robin) Hersch, Kerry (Mary) Hersch, and Amy Hersch; brothers-in-law, Mike (Cindy) Thome, Dave (Pam) Thome, and Bill (Beth) Thome; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Friday, November 3, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Southwest Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900) with a Celebration of Life beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Prayer Services will begin Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 9:45 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ft. Meig's Union Cemetery.
