Donald Michael Stowe

Donald Michael "Mike" Stowe, age 70, resident of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2021, at St. Anne's Mercy Hospital. He was born on January 18, 1951, to Charles and Erma (LaGro) Stowe.

Mike was a graduate of Whitmer High School and had worked at Coyne Textiles. A sports fan, he enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers and Toledo Rockets and Mudhens, where he was a season ticket holder. In his earlier years, he played softball and he was in a bowling league, where he enjoyed bowling with friends and where he met his loving wife, Janie. A family man, he enjoyed spending time with his loved ones. He loved attending his children and grandchildren's sporting events. Mike was known as being very friendly and outgoing; he had a great group of friends, whom he had for over 50 years.

Those left to forever cherish his memory are his wife, Janie (Benner) Stowe, whom he married on February 14, 1986; son, Kevin (Claire) Stowe; two step-daughters, Kelly Herbster and Kerry Herbster; five grandchildren, Charlie and Cody Derr, Jacquelyn, Hadley and Cole Stowe; great grandson, Ezra Derr; mother, Erma Stowe; two sisters, Cheryl Presley and Jamie Cole; and numerous extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Stowe and sister, Geri Barraco.

Family and friends may gather at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Sunday, October 31, 2021, from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. Funeral services will take place on Monday, November 1, 2021, at 10:00 am, with Pastor Lindy Maurice-Saum officiating. Burial will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
