Donald T. Spychalski

Donald Spychalski, age 83, passed away peacefully at Toledo hospital on March 24th 2023 as the result of a stroke. Donald was born the 9th child of 12 to Roman and Martha (Popek) Spychalski in Toledo On February 16th 1940. He is predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Peggy and siblings Ollie, Eleanor, Melvin, Carol, Patricia, Ray, Ernie, Ralph, Bob, and Rick. His is survived by his brother Gene (Joyce) Spychalski and fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews in particular his nephew Roman whom Don has been especially close with over many years.

Don attended Macomber and Rogers high schools studying auto mechanics. After graduation Don also served in the 180th Air National Guard Unit for six years as a cook. So yes, this man had the skills to roast you a pig and change your clutch all in the same day. Don held several jobs in his life from car salesman to mechanic, spending many years at Cliff's Marathon on the corner of Reynolds and Bancroft. He also served as a salesman for Seaway Sand and Stone and AutoZone.

His burial and celebration of life will be held at a date yet to be determined.
