Donald Wesley Spencer

Donald W. Spencer, age 74, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on early Wednesday morning, October 17, 2018. He was born on December 16, 1943 in Tacoma, Washington. Don retired from Textile Leather and owned and operated along with his wife Cathy, the Coal & Woodburner Shoppe for 37 years. He enjoyed spending his summers with family and friends in Michigan, especially at Greenwood Acres campground. During winter months he loved spending time in Florida with his late wife Cathy and all of their friends! Don loved traveling with his wife and friends, bowling with his son and just spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Jeffery (Jenny) and Daryl (Tracy) Spencer; daughter-in-law, Carrie (Michael) Eischen; grandchildren, Amanda, Justin, Allison, Halley, Devin and Karlie; sister, Sue (Bob) Early; nieces and nephews, Michael (Addy) Soden, Stacy Soden and Kathy (Dan) Cates and a host of dear friends from Michigan, Ohio and Florida. Preceding him in passing was his parents and his loving wife of 46 years, Kathleen F. "Cathy" Spencer.

The family will receive guests on Sunday, October 21, 2018 from 3-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer - Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). His Funeral Service will begin in the funeral home on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park. A luncheon will follow at Conn - Weissenberger American Legion Post 587 2020 W. Alexis Rd. Toledo, Ohio 43613.
