Donald Seguin

Donald J. Seguin, age 84, of Temperance, Michigan, passed away Friday, February 8, 2008 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. He was born November 16, 1923 to Joseph and Irene (Knaggs) Seguin in Toledo. Don was employed with Poll Electric, retiring in 1988. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving his country proudly during WWII.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Mary Seguin; brothers, Ralph and Richard Seguin and sister, Alice GWilliam. Don is survived by his loving wife, Karen E. Seguin; daughter, Kathy (Brian) Duncan; brother, Earl (Edith) Seguin; sister, Ilah Owen; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Roger) Pleasant; Andrea (David Thomas) Duncan and Michelle Duncan; 3 stepchildren and 6 step grandchildren.

The family will receive guests Thursday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Thursday at 7:00 p.m. Officiating will be Fr. Brian Hurley.

Because Don enjoyed his days at the Alzheimer's Daycare on Reynolds Rd; in lieu of flowers, the family would like you to consider Memorial Contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 2500 N. Reynolds Rd. Toledo, OH 43615.

Don's family would especially like to thank the staff, who he considered his "second family" at the Alzheimer's Association for fulfilling his life over these last 18 months.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Flower Hospital 5th floor and Dr.'s Mazin Salem; Mohammad Mahboob and Ramon Sevilla and the nurses and staff of Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg for the loving care and support they all provided.
