Donald Seelman

Donald G. Seelman, age 83, of Toledo, formerly of Maumee, passed away September 29, 2012 in The Toledo Hospital. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on April 18, 1929, to Pearl (Willams) and Harold Seelman. Donald retired from General Mills and was a volunteer fireman for the city of Maumee. He enjoyed playing bridge, golfing and spending his winters in Florida. He and his wife, Nancy traveled extensively throughout the United States, Europe and the Caribbean.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Nancy; children, Connie (Jim) McPhilimy, Jean (Mike) Meinen, and Gary (Susan) Seelman; stepchildren, Wally (Marge) Winsor, Tracy (Steve) Gagalis, and Steve (Carol) Winsor; grandchildren, Mark (Tabitha), Stacy (Chris) Becky (Dana), and Jimmy (Chrissy); step-grandchildren, Scott, Angela, and Abbey; and 10 great grandchildren. Don was preceded in death by his first wife, Maryliss.

The family will receive guests on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. -5:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will be at 5:00 p.m., in the funeral home.
