Donald E. Saylor, age 82, resident of Toledo, Ohio, passed away and went to be with the Lord, on Monday, December 27, 2021, at his home. He was born on June 27, 1939, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Elbert and Elsie (Hahn) Saylor.
He graduated from Macomber High School and had worked at GM, where he retired. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air force.
Donald married his wife, Roberta "Bobbie" (Hill) Saylor, on January 31, 1999. He and Bobbie enjoyed traveling together, especially to Tennessee to the Smokey Mountains, Laurel Falls, and Cades Cove. While Bobbie loved and enjoyed going to church, Donald loved looking at, buying, and watching race cars. They would together go to Pigeon Forge in the summers and falls to watch the car shows down there. They loved each other deeply. The most important thing in life was family. They will be forever missed by their children, grandchildren, and many loved ones.
Those left to forever cherish his memory are his loving children, Dawn (Glenn) Duncan, Michael (Judy) Saylor, Jennifer Smith, and Colin Nellett; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and step-children, Jerry Lowry, Chuk (Greg Falzone) Lowry, Robert (Jo) Lowry, and Dawn McGovern.
In addition to his parents, he is in Heaven with his loving wife, whom passed on December 29, to join him; and a sister, Mary Smithmeyer.
At this time, there will be no services held. A special memory or online condolence may be shared to the family by visiting www.NewcomerToledo.com.
