Donald P. Roberts, Sr.

Donald P. "Butch" Roberts, Sr., age 79, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Friday, February 18, 2022 at St. Anne's Mercy Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was born on February 10, 1943 in Toledo, OH. Don was a veteran of the U.S. Airforce serving his country proudly. He enjoyed deer hunting and camping with family and friends at Sunny's Campground in Wauseon, OH. Don liked cooking and became an avid mask maker. Don was very giving, loving and was a hard worker who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Ruth and Bev; and father-in-law, Floyd Spangler. Left to cherish Don's memory are his loving wife of 40 years, Carol Roberts; children, Donald (Christal) Roberts, Jr., Rebecca Roberts, Shellie (Scott) Booker, Heather (Jason) Miller, and Crystal (Chris) Marten; 15 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Charlotte Spangler; sister-in-law, Kimberly (Jesse) Blackford; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

There will be no visitation or services honoring Don's wishes. The family held a private ceremony on their own. Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, Toledo (419-473-0300) assisted the family with professional services.
