Donald R. Rarick

Donald R. Rarick, Sr. age 85, of Delta, formerly of Toledo, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, Saturday, August 16, 2014 at his daughter's home, where he lived for the last 9 years. He was born on January 31, 1929 to Burnace and Josephine (McKenzie) Rarick in Hammond, Indiana. Donald was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving his country proudly for over 20 years. He was also employed with the Dial Corp. for 20 years before retiring. Donald loved woodworking and bowling. He enjoyed the time spent with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Emma M. Rarick; brothers, Jack, Richard, Robert, Paul and Ralph Rarick; and sisters, Charlotte Stafford and Ruth Smith. Donald is survived by his loving children, David, Donald Jr., Dwight, Kenneth (Tracy) Rarick and Pamela (Gary) Tippie; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Mary Sherer and Betty (Loren) Merquardt.

The family will receive guests on Thursday, August 21, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300)with Funeral Services beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.
