Donald F. "Pete" Poulson
Donald F "Pete" Poulson, age 74 , a lifelong resident of Oregon, OH., passed away peacefully at his Son's home, Saturday February 8, 2003. He was born September 18, 1928 to Everett T. and Georgia M. (Kalmbach) Poulson.
Pete was employed by Gulf Oil Co. in Toledo for 32 years as a Stillman , retiring in 1981, at the age of 53. He had also been employed by Gladieux Corp. (Buddies Lunch) for 8 years as a mechanic. After his retirement he continued to pursue his interests renovating and maintaining his rental properties. Pete also spent endless hour helping his son with his rental properties and new home.
Mr. Poulson was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles of Maumee, OH., (Aerie #2562). He was an avid polka dancer and member of the Toledo Area Polka Society (T.A.P.S), American Music Association (A.M.A.), Czech Dancers Club of Metamora, American Czech and Slovak Dancers Club of Milbury, OH., and the Ohio Polka Boosters. He also enjoyed boating, and fishing with his grandchildren.
Mr. Poulson was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Robert.
Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Emma (Bischoff) Poulson of Oregon, OH., Jeanette (William) Franklin of Toledo, sons: Don Poulson of Oregon, OH., Billy R. (Heidi) Bischoff Jr. of Toledo, grandchildren: Jennifer M. Franklin, Jeffrey H. Franklin, Donald Poulson Jr., Stephen J. Poulson, great grandchild: Aubrey Poulson, brothers: Jack (Yvette) Poulson, Glenn (Colleen) Poulson, sister: Florence (Lawrence) Large, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-8 P.M. at the Newcomer – Farley Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road at Talmadge (419-473-0300). Services will be Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home. Interment at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
