Donald P. "Pete" Mister, age 67, of Toledo, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 27, 2019. He was born to Robert and Eula (Hankins) Mister in Calhoun City, Mississippi on September 6, 1951. Pete proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Army and following his time in the military he was an over-the-road CDL truck-driver for Dutch Maid and Westside Trucking Companies. He was a member of the VFW on Junction and Belmont and in his younger years enjoyed riding his motorcycle and playing a good game of pool. Family get-together's, holidays and B-B-Q's was something Pete always looked forward to.
Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Eula Mister; sister, Shirley (Kenneth) Dantzler; children, David, Mark, LaBrina; precious grandchildren; nieces, Donette, Debra and Crystal; favorite aunts, Luvenia Pass and Christine Hankins; many other relatives and friends. Pete was preceded in death by his father, Robert Mister and son, Shawn Rolette; siblings, Nina Conley and Robert Mister.
The family will receive guests on Monday, August 5, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Newcomer - Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) with his Home Going Service starting at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Kenneth D. Dantzler officiating. Interment will follow in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
